French Energetic Acupuncture (FEA) is a system of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) used to treat a variety of conditions. It combines acupuncture with other healing modalities such as cupping, massage, and herbal remedies. This holistic approach uses the body’s own energy to balance and strengthen the patient’s system. A French Energetic Acupuncturist (FEA) will begin a treatment by evaluating the patient’s physical, emotional, mental, and energy field. They use the Chinese Five Elements system to find where an imbalance exists. This system classifies the various aspects of a person’s life into five categories: wood, metal, water, fire, and earth. The FEA practitioner will then select several points on the body to stimulate for the treatment. Acupuncture needles are used to restore energy. Cupping, the practice of suctioning a cup onto the body and then manually removing it may be used to improve circulation. Chinese herbs are often prescribed to support the body and mind. Other healing modalities, like massage and moxibustion, may be incorporated into the treatment as needed. French Energetic Acupuncture can be used to help with a variety of conditions, from acute or chronic pain to emotional issues. Research suggests that FEA can help with fatigue, headaches, insomnia, depression, and anxiety. Some evidence also suggests that FEA may help improve long-term health and enhance overall wellbeing. Although it is a traditional healing method, it is not based on superstition. Instead, it relies on the Chinese understanding of the body as an ever-changing energy system where harmonious energy circulation results in good health. Thus, FEA acutely improves balance and reduces the cause of a patient’s ailments.
