Body Therapy can be defined as a form of natural healing, relaxation and rejuvenation. It is a broad term that covers massage and bodywork. Body therapists work to heal ailments in patients through pressure application, massage, and acupuncture or by using  herbal remedies and medicines.

Bodywork techniques also aim to improve body posture, promote awareness of the "bodymind connection" which is an approach that sees the human body and mind as one integrated unit, or to manipulate the electromagnetic field alleged to surround the human body and affect health.
