Body temperature has a profound effect on human health and has been studied extensively in traditional medicine. The primary role of body temperature in the practice of traditional medicine is to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various ailments. In traditional medicine, fever is considered to be a sign of ill health, and the degree of fever is an indicator of the degree of health. Biofeedback mechanism is a type of patient/therapist relationship that has been used extensively in traditional medicine. During a biofeedback session, the patient is connected to equipment that monitors and records their body temperature. The therapist then guides the patient through relaxation techniques and breathing exercises that allow them to better regulate their body temperature. Increasingly, biofeedback is being used in conjunction with acupuncture, as well as other treatment options. Body temperature is also used to detect the presence of certain illnesses. Traditional medicine practitioners often use special thermometers and temperatures to detect symptoms of various illnesses. By noting differences in body temperature, traditional medical practitioners can more accurately diagnose and treat their patients. In traditional medicine, body temperature is seen as an important indicator of health. Temperature changes can indicate the presence of certain illnesses and have been used to help diagnose and treat many different disorders. The use of biofeedback to control body temperature has also been found to be beneficial in the practice of traditional medicine.
