Title : The path to contentment – to regain holistic well-being and the joy of living
Abstract:
Today, human beings confused and prone to identifying with trivial, externally induced needs are unable to conceive of a clear hierarchy of values ??that could truly foster their "authentic" well-being, regardless of the euro, the dollar, or anything else that the political sphere might present as important. Instead, individuals must lucidly free themselves from the influence of advertising and embark on a journey toward their own fulfillment and salvation a path in which terms like "happiness" and "health" regain their profound meaning, even if it requires a form of disobedience. This remains true unless an institutional program perhaps on a European scale is implemented that, moving beyond mere monetary and banking concerns, takes responsibility for the concrete realization of an individual’s physical, psychological, and spiritual well-being.
I feel compelled to emphasize once again even at the risk of repeating myself that humanity is deeply disoriented and suffering, including on an emotional level: anger, sadness, and fear are strongly present in every human being. In fact, one could argue that such emotions create fertile ground for the development of the pathologies from which humanity currently suffers. According to Ayurveda, to be considered truly healthy beyond mere physical well-being one must experience joy in the senses, the mind, and the soul. One way to reach this state is by following the path of contentment. In my lecture, I intend to clarify what this path entails.
