Title : Integrative ayurveda medicine: A new framework for digestive and metabolic health
Abstract:
Ayurveda has described the central role of digestion, daily rhythms, and individualized healthcare for thousands of years. Today, advances in microbiome science, chronobiology, systems biology, and psychoneuroimmunology provide a growing body of evidence that supports many of these traditional concepts. This presentation introduces Integrative Ayurveda Medicine, an innovative framework that translates the classical principles of Ayurveda into the language of contemporary biomedical science. Rather than viewing traditional and modern medicine as separate disciplines, this approach identifies their points of convergence to create a more comprehensive model for preventive and therapeutic healthcare. The lecture will present the fundamental pillars of Integrative Ayurveda Medicine, including the relationship between Agni and digestive physiology, the gut microbiome as a modern interpretation of intestinal ecology, circadian biology and Dinacharya, chronic low-grade inflammation, metabolic regulation, and personalized nutrition. As a practical clinical application, the Monodiet Method will be presented as a structured digestive reset protocol designed to optimize gastrointestinal function, support microbiome balance, reduce inflammatory burden, and promote metabolic resilience. Clinical observations and the physiological rationale behind the method will be discussed within the context of current scientific understanding. This presentation aims to demonstrate how integrating the wisdom of Ayurveda with modern scientific evidence can contribute to a more effective, preventive, and person-centered healthcare model capable of addressing many of today's chronic health challenges.
