Title : A case focused review of atypical leprosy based homoeopathic remedy in treatment for autism

Abstract:

Introduction: The fundamental constitutional and emotional causes of complex behaviours are frequently overlooked in the traditional treatment of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). By treating severe adult ASD with Hura brasiliensis, a powerful homoeopathic medicine traditionally linked to leprosy like symptoms: a condition characterised by extreme social rejection and isolation; this case study purposefully ventured outside the therapeutic box.It shows how the autism stems from being ostracized and rejected and how this remedy can help many autistic kids recover from their symptoms.
Case & Rationale: A 24-year-old man with chronic ASD showed signs of social disengagement, painful, obsessive bowel problems, and extreme rigidity (daily set routines, selective eating of only fries/sweets). The patient's primary emotional state, which was mirrored in the history of parental trauma, was found to be "forsaken" and "repudiated," or "treated like a leper." This was consistent with Hura Brasiliense’s known constitutional characteristics. Intervention & Results: Hura Brasiliense's 30C was given in a single dose. The patient showed notable, quick recovery in just one month:
1. Rigid, obsessive daily habits are reduced by 75%.
2. Complete Cessation of self-destructive violence and screaming episode
3. A rise in social connection and participation.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, this case shows the significant effectiveness of highly customised and individualised homoeopathic prescribing when an unusual medicine is matched to the patient's deepest emotional and constitutional state (similimum). The effective application of a "leprosy remedy" for ASD highlights the necessity for professionals to look past cursory diagnoses and adopt really "outside the box" therapy approaches that tackle the intricate, underlying feelings of rejection and abandonment present in many chronic illnesses. The apprioach is strictly constitutional based on individualisation according to Homeopathic principles and this case will help all us homeopaths to think out of box for autism and steer away from common remedies that we think of and many times without result.
