Biography:

Ziphozethu Ndlazi, MMedSci, faculty member in the Discipline of Clinical Anatomy, School of Medicine, University of KwaZulu-Natal. Her Master's research explored neurophysiology, focusing on how addictive substances affect brain anatomy and induce pathophysiological changes in neural circuitry. She is currently a PhD candidate finalising her thesis for submission, investigating the ethnomedicinal potential of traditional medicine in treating urinary tract infections, with funding from the NRF Thuthuka PhD track grant. She has served as a student representative council member for the Anatomical Society of Southern Africa, and holds awards from the International Brain Research Organisation and the Golden Key International Honor Society.
